D. Sakova: We have supported up to 3 investment projects in the south-central and eastern Slovakia

Vytvorené dňa: 07.07.2025      Aktualizované dňa: 07.07.2025

At the last meeting of the Slovak Government in 2024 on Wednesday, 18 December, on the proposal of the Ministry of Economy (MH) of the Slovak Republic, the provision of investment aid for the plans of three companies - TECHNOGYM E.E., Tytex Slovakia and CSM Industry - was approved. All of the projects will promote employment in south-central and eastern Slovakia, offering significantly higher wages than the regional averages and contributing to the diversification of the Slovak economy.

„Once again, we are proposing projects that will reduce regional disparities in Slovakia, create jobs and support economic growth. These investments are also an important step towards the gradual diversification of our industry,“ said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková after the cabinet meeting.

TECHNOGYM E.E. s. r. o.

TECHNOGYM E.E. will receive investment aid of EUR 3,832,045 in the form of tax relief exclusively. This will be used to increase the production capacity of sporting goods in the existing industrial park, creating up to 90 new jobs with higher wages than the district average.  The company focuses on producing finished products (e.g. fitness equipment), which contribute to improving the health of the population. It is also committed to an environmentally friendly approach to producing new products and technologies made from highly recyclable materials (more than 95% by weight).  Implementing the investment plan will increase production by more than 68%, all of which is destined for export, (46% to the European Union market and 54 % to third countries).

The company belongs to the Technogym S.p.A. group, which was selected as the official provider of athletic training equipment for the Summer Olympics in Sydney, Tokyo and Paris and the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. The Technogym Group has been operating in Slovakia since 2005 in Maly Krtis.

Tytex Slovakia, Humenné

ndirect investment aid in the form of tax relief, in the amount of EUR 484,085, was approved for Tytex Slovensko, which is based in Humenné. The company's investment plan involves expanding the capacity of the existing plant, with the new extension incorporating energy-efficient technologies. By expanding and modernising production, the company expects to increase production by more than 30%. All production is destined for export, with 63.4% going to the EU market and 36.6% to third countries.

The company must maintain the average number of core employees at the establishment in question over the 12 months immediately preceding the calendar month in which the application was submitted (over 550 jobs).

Tytex Slovakia focuses on producing products that improve the lives of people with health problems, such as special medical textiles for patients with osteoporosis to protect their hip joints, special underwear for pregnant women and new mothers, special compression products for patients after breast or abdominal hernia surgery, and various types of bandages. A member of the Tytex Group, it has been operating in Slovakia since 2001, successively in three plants: two in industrial parks in Humenné and one in Svidník.

CSM Industry s r. o.

CSM Industry has been granted investment aid in the form of tax credits (€254,725) and contributions (€1,018,901) to expand its existing plant. Implementing the investment project will increase production by more than 200% and create 30 new jobs, offering significantly higher wages than the current district average. The district has long been on the list of least developed districts (LDRs) and borders districts such as Lučenec, Poltár and Revúca, which are also on the LDR list. Rimavská Sobota district is also one of the territories designated for support from the Fair Transformation Fund (FTS) under the Fair Transformation Plan, which was approved by the European Commission.

The company specialises in producing 8x8 multi-purpose armoured vehicles in various configurations. These vehicles are used for rapid and safe evacuation of people during crisis situations such as natural disasters, as ambulances for providing medical care and transporting patients in extreme conditions, as response vehicles for rescue and emergency response operations, as engineer vehicles to support engineering work, debris removal and infrastructure restoration, and as armoured vehicles to protect and transport troops and ground forces.

For the first three years, 100% of production will be directed towards the domestic market. From 2027 onwards, exports within the European Union are estimated to account for 85% of production.

The Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic is therefore making an intensive contribution to reducing regional disparities by creating new jobs that pay higher than the current average wage in the relevant districts and by diversifying the economy in promising sectors.
