Slovakia wishes to become a gateway for the expansion of new photovoltaic panel technology into Europe. "We are interested not only in working together on expansion of this technology to Slovakia, but we also want to explore the possibilities of locating such panel production in Slovakia," said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic Denisa Saková. According to D. Saková, modern technologies in energy have the potential to help not just the industry, but also households, while the leadership of the Slovak Ministry of Economy will make every effort to build an energetically strong Slovakia.

The Memorandum of Understanding creates prerequisites for closer cooperation between the Slovak Government and Sekisui Chemical Co., especially in finding various conditions for entry into the Slovak market. At the same time, both parties commit to intensive cooperation in the development of research and development in this field in Slovakia.

The signatories of the Memorandum also expressed their willingness to begin negotiations regarding the potential placement of this technology's production in Slovakia. According to available data, the production of solar panels of this type does not require any rare materials, and its expansion in the future could contribute to the decarbonization of several European countries.
