On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, during an off-site meeting in Pečovská Nová Ves, the Slovak government approved investment aid of over €1.27 million for the company DKR GROUP s. r. o., which plans to build a production facility in Petrovany near Prešov. The project will create 28 new jobs and focus on producing halogen-free, flame-retardant cable compounds used as input material in the manufacturing of modern cables and conductors. read more >>

At the proposal of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, the government approved a measure of general economic interest at its meeting on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. This measure will ensure sufficient gas reserves in Slovakia’s underground storage facilities ahead of the 2025/2026 heating season. In Green for Businesses, companies have the green light.

Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises can now apply for grants to install equipment that uses renewable energy sources under the national project Green for Businesses, managed by the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) under the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
