ES37 Provision of micro-loans

The Slovak Business Agency (SBA) provides micro-loan services for micro and small enterprises through its micro-loan program. The purpose of this service is to enhance the development of small businesses, increase survival rate of small and starting businesses, support formation of conditions for maintaining employment and creating new job opportunities in the regions of Slovakia by addressing the issue of access to capital for small businesses, whilst avoiding the provision of State aid within the meaning Act on State aid.
Within the service, micro and small enterprises have the opportunity to submit an application for the provision of micro-loan electronically. You can submit an application only in the Slovak version of the portal.
The service is free of charge. Attachments
- Financial situation and the financial forecasts;
- Recent extract from the Register of Criminal records of the applicant, in the case of legal entity extracts from the Register of Criminal records of all members of statutory body of the applicant, not older than 3 (three) months;
- Business plan;
- Statement of income and expenditure and a statement of assets and liabilities (natural persons) or Balance Sheet and a Profit and Loss Statement (a legal entity) for the last 2 (two) fiscal years in the case of an Applicant - existing entrepreneur, or recent fiscal year or part of the last fiscal year for the Applicant – starting entrepreneur;
- Tax return for income tax of the applicant with the confirmation of its submission to the relevant tax authority for the last 2 (two) fiscal years in the case of an Applicant - existing entrepreneur, or recent fiscal year or part of the last fiscal year for the Applicant – starting entrepreneur;
- Confirmation of the competent tax authority, that it doesn’t register any outstanding commitments after maturity against the applicant;
- Confirmation of The Social Insurance Agency and from all health insurance companies, that there are no outstanding commitments after maturity against the applicant registered;
- Valuation of assets to be pledged (for real estate an extract from the cadaster and expert opinion not older than 6 (six) months, with movable property expert opinion on the valuation not older than 3 (three) months, sales contract, invoice, etc.);
- Document proving authorization of the applicant to use the premises in which the business is executed;
- Confirmation of the competent court, that there is no bankruptcy proceeding led against the applicant, the applicant is not in bankruptcy, in the arrangement with creditors, and there was no bankruptcy petition against the applicant rejected for lack of assets, not older than 3 (three) months;
- Confirmation of the competent court, that the applicant is not in a liquidation, not older than 3 (three) months.
- The Micro-loan program is implemented by the SBA on the basis of the Resolution of the Government of the Slovak Republic No 64 of 27 January 2010, approving the proposal of the Micro-loan Program and the proposal of basic criteria for its implementation.
The Micro-loan Program was subsequently published as a program for small and medium-sized entrepreneurship in the Commercial Journal No 32A/2010 on 17 February 2010, whereby a provider of the program is the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and the executor is the SBA.
